A Homemade Feast for Our Neighbors
Every month, volunteers from St. Alban’s and their friends come together to prepare and serve nutritious, homemade meals for over 160 residents at the Men’s Emergency Shelter of Friends of the Homeless in east Columbus. The shelter offers essential life-sustaining services while residents work to rebuild their lives.
This ministry is more than simply using our culinary skills; it’s about offering dignity, kindness, and a moment of warmth to our neighbors in need.
Our meals are prepared with care and love, then delivered by members of St. Alban’s to the shelter. There, additional parish volunteers serve the residents. This act of service nourishes the minds, bodies, and spirits of both those being served and those filling their plates.
How You Can Help
TRANSPORT FOOD AND SUPPLIES
Assist with collecting fresh ingredients, tableware, and utensils from local suppliers each month, then deliver them to the church for preparation in our commercial kitchen.
