Children's Chapel

Come As You Are to Worship, Sing, and Grow Together in Faith

Children’s Chapel is a joyful and interactive worship service designed to meet the spiritual needs of children ages three and up. The service occurs on the lower floor of St. Alban’s education building.

Chapel centers on the Word of God, also referred to as the Liturgy of the Word in the Episcopal prayer book. It includes lessons from Scripture, singing songs of faith, a Godly Play story (instead of a sermon) with response time, and the Prayers of the People — everything that takes place before the celebration of Holy Communion, as outlined in the Book of Common Prayer. Participants then proceed to the church sanctuary to join the community for the Eucharist, sharing the sacrament as one family of faith. Parents and caregivers are always welcome to attend Chapel with their children and
receive inspiration for faith formation at home.
