Jesus taught us that serving others is a vital part of our faith. Volunteering allows us to demonstrate Christ’s love through purposeful actions that strengthen our church and community at large. Servant ministry offers an opportunity for personal spiritual growth, discovering your divine purpose, and building a sense of belonging and connection.
Volunteer Opportunities
Explore ways to share your time and talents at St. Alban’s and beyond.
Worship & Liturgy
• Join the choir or share a musical talent.
• Serve as an usher, greeter, or lay reader.
• Assist with preparing or serving at the altar for Holy Communion.
• Visit and provide pastoral care to those at home or in the hospital.
Children & Youth Ministries
• Assist with Godly Play or Children’s Chapel.
• Serve as a role model and mentor for our youngest members.
• Attend youth events and activities to show support.
JUSTICE & ADVOCACY MINISTRIES
• Work with community partners to create a kinder, fairer world.
• Support planning and logistics at our Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot.
• Serve at the monthly Shelter Meal and provide items to help stock the pantries we support.
HOSPITALITY & OPERATIONS
• Join the building and grounds team to help care for our facilities and gardens.
• Volunteer for administrative tasks like preparing bulletins for Sundays or setting
up chairs for a small group.
• Plan and host foodie events such as coffee hours, social gatherings, receptions,
and potlucks.
