No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, we have saved a seat for you at St. Alban’s. As followers of Jesus, we strive to follow the “first and greatest” commandment: to love God and our neighbors as ourselves—and we respond, “We will, with God’s help,” to the central question of our Episcopal Baptismal Covenant: “Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, respecting the dignity of every human being?”
We are delighted to welcome new members to our community! Whether you are new to the area, exploring your faith, or searching for a spiritual home, we are grateful that you’ve chosen to join us. Below are descriptions of what joining St. Alban’s might entail, tailored to your background and desires.

In the Episcopal Church,
membership means:
- Regular attendance on Sunday for Holy Eucharist.
- Having an official “Letter of Transfer” or membership information on file in our church office to ensure that your contact details are accurate.
- Maintaining a financial commitment or another “contribution of record” that supports your church’s mission.
- Participating in the church’s visible mission by engaging with our diverse formation programs and opportunities to serve others.
- Praying for grace to serve God more faithfully, both individually and as a member of a community of believers.
Our priest is glad to guide you through our baptism and confirmation processes. The Episcopal Church customarily baptizes very young children, but we welcome individuals of all ages for baptism. Typically, there is a second step for adults: personally accepting the promises made on your behalf during your youth. This step is known as confirmation.
Our Episcopal 101 class provides a comprehensive introduction to the Episcopal Church in a small group setting. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions and connect with others who are new to St. Alban’s. We hold confirmations each year when the Bishop of our diocese visits.
We are pleased to help you transfer your church affiliation to St. Alban’s. To request a letter of transfer, contact our Parish Administrator at admin@stalbans-bexley.org or 614-235-8549.

- The dates of your baptism and confirmation, if known.
We invite you to join the Episcopal Church by officially being received into our community. You are encouraged to participate in our Episcopal 101 classes led by our priest to learn about our history, core values, beliefs, and traditions. Receptions are held annually, coinciding with confirmations during the Bishop’s visit to St. Alban’s.
We invite you to attend one of our worship services and experience St. Alban’s community firsthand. Every Sunday following the service, we host a gathering for connection and friendship, along with refreshments during Coffee Hour.
Our priest or a Vestry member is eager to meet with you during the week, get to know you better, and answer any questions you may have about St. Alban’s.
