CHRISTINE OVERWAY

Christine Overway serves children, youth, and families at St. Alban’s. She began attending St. Alban’s the day after they closed on their Bexley home, where she and her husband, Lars, are raising their two children.

Christine’s faith was shaped by her alma mater, Hope College, where she majored in classical languages and psychology. Through a liberal arts program and chapel ministry, she embraced her vocation as the intersection of her joy and the needs of the world. This foundation continues to influence her service and collaboration today.

Christine has joyfully established a Godly Play program at St. Alban’s. This Montessori-inspired program invites everyone, both young and young-at-heart, to practice making connections between the cherished stories of our faith and our daily lives.

In Bexley, Christine serves as a Den Leader and Popcorn Kernel for Cub Scout Pack 3220. She is also the Co-Chair of the AAPI Festival. Christine tends to her home gardens and supports the community gardens at the Columbus Early Learning Center. The Overways homeschool their children, cultivating a love for learning, travel, and nature.
